Racing towards the Spring!

February 10, 2017

Are you ready to run 10 miles?

It’s okay if you answered “no.” You still have plenty of time to train. But not much time left to register…

But it is that time of year to start thinking of the spring, and getting ready for its races!

This coming Monday, February 13th, is the closing of the Broad Street Run Lottery (the lottery has been open since February 1st). If you’re interested in racing this year, be sure to throw your name in the proverbial hat before Monday. The names of those who are selected for race bibs will be announced on Thursday, February 16th.

If you don’t get selected for this year's lottery, fear not! You have another chance - us. ISEPTAPHILLY will once again have a few bibs to give away to runners and riders through a contest – so keep your eyes peeled (we'll make it easy, just follow our Twitter!), and keep training, even if you aren’t selected through the lottery!

Come race day, runners who are officially registered can show their race bib to station cashiers for free access to Broad Street Line trains before and after the race. Olney Transportation Center is a short walk from the race’s starting line. AT&T Station provides the best access to the race’s finish line in South Philadelphia.

As always, SEPTA is the best way to and from the race. How fast you are able to cover the ten miles between start and finish line – well, that’s on you!
