Route of the Week - 12

This week, we're shining a spotlight on the Route 12! The Route 12 travels from Columbus and Dock Streets along Penn’s Landing to 50th and Woodland Avenue. Buses have been riding on the Route 12 since July 21, 1956. Prior to that, the Route 12 trolley ran from 13th and South Streets to Darby via Grays Ferry and Woodland Avenues.

The Route 12 takes 122 weekday trips between 5:00 AM and 1:30 AM. On a typical weekday the Route 12 carries 2,506 passengers and travels 586 miles.

The Route 12 in Center City 

The Route 12 connects with numerous other SEPTA Routes, including the Broad Street Line at Walnut/Locust Station. It also connects with several bus routes, the Market-Frankford Lineand SEPTA Regional Rail Lines at 30th Street Station.

Whether you’re heading to work in Center City or for some drinks at Spruce Street Harbor Park, SEPTA’s Route 12 can get you there!
