Route of the Week - 14

January 3, 2017

For this week’s Route of the Week, we’ll be exploring the Route 14 Bus. The Route 14 operates along Roosevelt Boulevard from Oxford Valley and Neshaminy Malls to Frankford Transportation Center. On a typical weekday, the Route 14 carries 12,347 passengers and makes 264 trips. There Route 14 is one of SEPTA’s Nite Owl Routes, running 24 hours a day and seven days a week.

Formerly known as Route B, the Route 14 is the oldest still operating bus route within SEPTA’s City Transit Division, running since June 26, 1921.

Improved service on the Route 14 is a key component of the Roosevelt Boulevard’s “Route for Change” Program. The Program is working to develop a series of improvements along the Boulevard to create a more inviting corridor for everyone. As a partner in the program, SEPTA is directly involved in planning efforts to provide more efficient bus service with improvements in frequency and shorter trip times for all users.

Wherever you're headed in Northeast Philadelphia, hop the Route 14 and let SEPTA take you there!
