SEPTA Catches "Eagles Fever"

February 1, 2018

“Eagles Fever” has swept the Philadelphia region and green is the hot color — including at SEPTA!

This weekend, the Authority’s employees, including transit operators, cashiers and maintenance crews, are trading in their usual uniforms for Eagles’ green to show their support as the team plays in the Big Game! The Authority’s vehicles will be decked out, too, sporting “Go Eagles!” signs!

SEPTA is encouraging customers to show their fandom by wearing their “football Sunday best”, too this weekend and remind those who will partake in Super Bowl activities on Sunday that SEPTA is the safest, most convenient way to get around town! Share your pictures on social media with the hashtag #BleedGreenRideSEPTA. We'll retweet/share all of the shots!!

Throughout the Birds’ playoff run, SEPTA employees have worn Eagles’ gear on game days — that’s been extended for Friday, Saturday and Sunday this weekend. “Philadelphians bleed green, including our employees,” said SEPTA General Manager Jeff Knueppel. “This has been an exciting year for the Eagles and we are showcasing our pride in the team and its success. From ‘Go Eagles’ signs on our vehicles to decorating stations and wearing green, we are backing the Birds.”

For fans heading out to partake in Super Bowl festivities - remember - SEPTA is the safest and most convenient way to get around town. Broad Street and Market-Frankford Line trains run 12 minutes and stations are easily accessible from a variety of SEPTA travel modes and other transit services.
