Franklin Field

Nothing beats the Penn Relays! April 27 through April 29, high school, college and even professional track stars compete at Franklin Field during the Penn Relays, the oldest collegiate meet in the nation. With an average of one race every five minutes over 33 hours of competition, it could be declared the most action-packed, too. Fun runs off the track too with an International Street Fair & other festivities in University City. Avoid traffic and parking. Best way to Franklin Field is SEPTA. Hop Regional Rail to 30th Street or University City Stations, the Market-Frankford Line to 34th Street, the Trolley to 33rd Street or Bus Routes 21, 30 or 42. More info here.

The future is in Philadelphia when the next generation of stars will be selected in the NFL Draft. Watch as lives are changed and the future unfolds from Thursday, 4/27, thru Saturday, 4/29. Festivities will be held along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, incorporating famed city landmarks [and SEPTA Pass Perks Partners] the Franklin Institute and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. For the first time in history, the theater will be constructed outside on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. NFL Draft Experience Presented by Oikos Triple Zero, invites families and fans of all ages to enjoy a FREE admission, three-day football festival - the largest festival ever created by the NFL, spanning the size of nearly twenty-five football fields. Fans of all ages and of all teams will be able to participate in interactive exhibits, immersive games, and virtual reality experiences, free player autograph sessions and more. Free parking for the NFL Draft Experience is available in South Philadelphia at both Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center beginning 3p on Thursday, 4/27 and continuing through Saturday, 4/29. SEPTA’s Broad Street Line picks-up steps from Citizens Bank Park, Lincoln Financial Field, Wells Fargo Center and Xfinity Live!. Trains run every 8 to 10 minutes. It takes about 11 minutes to travel from AT&T Station (located at Broad and Pattison Streets) to City Hall on a local train. City Hall is a 7-minute walk to the entrance of the NFL Draft Experience. The film festival began as a celebration of independent film and has blossomed into a two-week-long festival full of screenings of VHS-era flicks and oft-overlooked films. Get there on SEPTA. Beginning Saturday, 4/1, more than 50 kinetic sculptures head to the Morris Arboretum for its latest exhibition, Morris Arboretum in Motion, featuring artworks by Lyman Whitaker. Designed to move entirely by the wind, each piece becomes a mesmerizing sight intended to make observers think about their surroundings and their own relationship to nature. Get here on SEPTA. Ride the Chestnut Hill East or Chestnut Hill West Line to the last stop. From there hop the Route L or 97 toward Plymouth Meeting or Plymouth Meeting Mall to the Germantown Avenue & Northwestern Avenue stop. Walk down Northwestern Avenue for .5 miles past Chestnut Hill College and the apartment complex until you come to the black wrought-iron gate of the Arboretum. Best news - if you "walk in" - it only costs you $9 versus $17!!

Get there on SEPTA. Take the Market-Frankford Line to 11th Street and walk three blocks south to Walnut Street. Bus Routes 42, 21, 12 and 76 also all stop within three blocks of the theatre.
