FESTIBUS 2018

Every December, SEPTA’s frontline maintenance and surface transportation employees volunteer their time to decorate buses in festive holiday style and compete for bragging rights at the Authority’s annual All District Holiday Vehicle Competition!

Each vehicle in the competition represents one of the Authority’s eight bus districts.

Each District works together to come up with a theme for their respective vehicle. Employees receive donations from co-workers and volunteer their personal time and resources to work on the buses.

The photos below do not do the buses justice (but they're a start). In addition to decorating the outside of the buses, the interiors are done as well. You can see for yourself when the buses are on display:

On Saturday, 12/8, all eight decorated vehicles will be highlighted on the East side of Market Street from 11a until 4p. Four buses will be parked in front of SEPTA Headquarters located at 1234 Market Street. Two buses will be parked at near Macy’s, on Market between Juniper & 13th Street. Two buses will be parked on 13th between Market & Ludlow Streets.

On Sunday, 12/9, two buses will be on display outside Reading Terminal Market from 10a to 3p. One will be on 12th Street between Filbert & Cuthbert Streets. The other bus will be on Filbert between 11th & 12th Streets.

On Tuesday, 12/11, we'll have one bus at 69th Street Transportation Center from 10a-2p and one bus at Olney Transportation Center from 10a-2p

On Saturday, 12/15, there will be two decorated buses and one decorated trolley at 40th Street Portal from 10a to 5p.

On Tuesday, 12/18, two buses will be on display in front of SEPTA Headquarters from 8a-1p.
