This week, we’re taking a closer look at the Route 27! The Route 27 is a SEPTA City Bus Route that travels from Broad and Carpenter to the Plymouth Meeting Mall. On its 19.5 miles route, the 27 serves Center City, Manayunk, Roxborough, and Barren Hill. On a typical weekday, this route carries 4,423 riders and makes 135 total trips.
The Route 27 was established on February 5, 1984, replacing Route A Express service via Henry Avenue and Barren Hill. On September 10, 1989, service on this route was extended to the Plymouth Meeting Mall.
At the Plymouth Meeting Mall, the Route 27 connects with Bus Routes 90, 95, 98, 150, and L. In Center City, Route 27 riders can connect with all SEPTA Regional Rail Lines at Suburban Station. The Route 27 runs seven days a week until 1:00 AM, making it a great way to get to Center City, Manayunk and Roxborough without having to worry about parking.
Whether you’re headed to work, the mall, or need to connect to another line, hop the Route 27 and let SEPTA be your ride!
