Parkway Museums District

Stretching from City Hall to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia's grand tree-lined Benjamin Franklin Parkway is flanked by some of the city's most acclaimed destinations. Visitors to the Parkway Museums District will discover a cultural mecca with world-class museums and educational institutions, the magnificent Swann Memorial Fountain, Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul on Logan Square and the world famous "Rocky" steps. Treasures and discoveries abound on (and just a few blocks off) the Parkway!

How to get there

Bus Routes 7, 32, 38, 43 & 48 all serve the Parkway area. As does Route 49! The Parkway is also an easy walk from Suburban Station if you're coming by Regional Rail or 19th Street or 22nd Street Stations if you come by Trolley. Click PLAN YOUR TRIP to discover your best way there.

The seasonal PHLASH downtown loop uses distinctive purple trolleys to connect major tourist destinations between Penn's Landing and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It is one of the best ways to get around to more than 25 locations in Center City and is just $2 each time you board unless you have a SEPTA Key card- then it's FREE!
