Elfreth's Alley, the oldest continuously residential street in the country, officially opens for its 2017 season this Saturday with an afternoon-long celebration honoring Dorothy “Dolly” Ottey, an Elfreth's Alley resident who was one of the founding members of the Elfreth’s Alley Association. There will be a 1930s swing quartet and 1930s candy and treats along with tours of the museum house and street. This event runs from 12-5p. This event is open to the public. From there hop the Route L or 97 toward Plymouth Meeting or Plymouth Meeting Mall to the Germantown Avenue & Northwestern Avenue stop. The Philadelphia Musuem of Art welcomes  American Watercolor in the Age of Homer and Sargent, an exhibit that charts the rise and evolution of watercolor in America from 1860 to 1925, at which point it had become a truly American art form. The exhibition focuses on the works of Winslow Homer and John Singer Sargent, two of the most influential U.S. watercolor artists. welcomes the new month by offering discounted admission to all guests of the museum. The exhibition focuses on the works of Winslow Homer and John Singer Sargent, two of the most influential U.S. watercolor artists. welcomes the new month by offering discounted admission to all guests of the museum. Baseball is back!! On Friday, 4/7, the Philadelphia Phillies return to Citizens Bank Park to face the Washington Nationals at 3:05p. There are lots of festivities planned for the day including a Phillies Opening Day Block Party, presented by Budweiser, on Citizens Bank Way from 12p to 3p. This free pre-game event features entertainment, food, a huge Ferris wheel, face painters and more! Best way from home to home field (and back again) is the SEPTA Broad Street Line. Hop it south to AT&T Station (last stop). Avoid the line - don't forget your SEPTA Key!!
