Pennsylvania Convention Center

The Pennsylvania Convention Center is a multi-use public facility in Center City Philadelphia designed to accommodate conventions, exhibitions, conferences and other events. It’s home to the annual Philadelphia Flower Show and Auto Show. It’s also easy to get to via SEPTA.

How to get there

Take any Regional Rail Line to Jefferson Station, the Market-Frankford Line to 11th Street, the Broad Street Line to City Hall, or Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 & 36 to 13th Street. Bus Routes 4, 16, 17, 23, 33, 38, 44, 45, 48, 124 & 125 also get you close.

Connecting Services

It's easy to go from Philadelphia International Airport to the Pennsylvania Convention Center via SEPTA's Airport Line. Airport Line service runs seven days a week, between 5:00 a.m. and 12 midnight.

Things To Do

Within short walks of the Convention Center are many hotels, restaurants, shopping (like Macy's) and other local attractions, including Independence Hall in America’s most historic square mile, Chinatown and its Stunning Friendship Gate, and Rittenhouse Square. Outside of our western entrance is the Museum Mile which stretches along Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The center is also next to the culinary melting pot known as Reading Terminal Market, which offers a vast choice of mouthwatering regional and international food.

Pennsylvania Convention Center

The automotive industry’s latest creations are on display over more than half a million square feet at the Pennsylvania Convention Center during the annual Philadelphia Auto Show, returning this year and running from 1/28 thru 2/5. Get an up-close look at hundreds of classic, luxury and exotic cars — and even climb behind the wheel of some. Take SEPTA to the show. The Convention Center is a short walk from Jefferson Station (we're running more trains). You can ride the Market-Frankford Line to 11th, the Broad Street Line to City Hall or hop Routes 23, 45, 48 or 61.

Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink at Dilworth Park

Hit the ice with your favorite superheroes for this special skating session in the shadow of City Hall. In addition to meet-and-greets with costumed crusaders, the kiddos can enjoy free face painting, capes and take-home crafts while supplies last. Tickets are required. Get here on SEPTA! Hop the Market-Frankford Line, the Broad Street Line to City Hall, Bus Routes 2, 17, 33, 38, 44, 48, 124 or 125 or Regional Rail to Suburban Station.

Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink

Dilworth Park

It’s a winter wonderland in the shadow of City Hall. Now thru 2/26, glide around the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, snap a selfie in the festive wintergarden, warm up with a hot beverage inside the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin and grab some seasonal snacks — all set against a very festive backdrop. Reservations are encouraged for timed, 90-minute skating sessions. Get here on SEPTA! Hop the Market-Frankford Line, the Broad Street Line to City Hall, Bus Routes 2, 17, 33, 38, 44, 48, 124 or 125 or Regional Rail to Suburban Station.

Black History Month

African American Museum

February is your last chance to catch the museum’s powerful Vision & Spirit: African American Art exhibition. The collection features more than 100 works from 48 artists and explores the many meanings behind African American resilience. Of course, you don’t want to miss AAMP’s core permanent exhibit Audacious Freedom: African Americans in Philadelphia 1776 – 1876, allowing trailblazers like Octavius Catto and Richard Allen to tell their stories through the use of technology, photographs, videos and artifact. Get here on SEPTA. It's a short walk from the 8th Street stop on the Market-Frankford Line or hop Routes 47 or 48.
