Let's Go Phillies!

Citizens Bank Park

The Phillies take on the Rockies on Monday (4/15), Tuesday (4/16), and Wednesday (4/17). They also take on the White Sox on Friday (4/19), Saturday (4/20) and Sunday (4/21). Best way to Citizens Bank Park to cheer on the home team is the Broad Street Line. Wawa Day

National Constitution Center

This Tuesday - the National Constitution Center hosts a special exhibit showcasing the history of this hoagie-slinging, pretzel-dealing, late-night icon in celebration of Wawa's 60th birthday — along with plenty of Wawa-centric fun and festivities. Admission to the National Constitution Center is free on Wawa Day. Get there on SEPTA! Take a Regional Rail Line [including the Media/Wawa Line!] to Jefferson Station. Then - hop the Market-Frankford Line. It's a short walk from 5th Street Station!

Parks on Tap

Azalea Garden

Philly’s roving beer garden brings brews and bites to parks and green spaces in neighborhoods in nearly every corner of the city this year. This week - from 8/30 thru 9/3 - Parks on Tap sets up shop in Fishtown’s waterfront Penn Treaty Park. Enjoy draft beers from Mainstay Independent Brewing, cocktails, and finger foods and sandwiches. The taps flow from 4 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Get there on SEPTA! Routes 32 and 38 get you close!

Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink

Dilworth Park

Head to Dilworth Park’s Rothman Orthopaedics Roller Rink in the heart of Center City on the west side of City Hall - from 4/19 thru 6/30. Grab an advanced ticket for hour-long skating sessions on the retro-inspired checkerboard rink (available afternoons and evenings seven days a week). When you’re done, enjoy eats and drinks at the adjacent Air Grille Garden and Dilworth Park Café for roller rink-inspired snacks and cocktails. Work up a sweat? Splash through the park’s dancing ground-embedded fountains. Get here on SEPTA! Hop the Market-Frankford Line, the Broad Street Line to City Hall, Bus Routes 2, 17, 33, 38, 44, 48, 124 or 125 or Regional Rail to Suburban Station.

Northern Liberties

A collaboration with The Piazza and the Northern Liberties Business Improvement District, this weekly yearlong farmers market - open every Saturday from 10AM to 2PM  - will feature over a dozen vendors including fruit and vegetable farmers, dairy purveyors, chocolate makers, hyper-locally brewed beer and more.

The Art of the Brick

Franklin Institute

Everything’s clicking into place. Returning to The Franklin Institute for the first time since 2015, The Art of the Brick displays more than 100 works all made completely of LEGO — from recreations of masterworks like Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa to original works of LEGO sculpture, including a 20-foot-long T. rex dinosaur skeleton and many pieces that are just plain fun. Every sculpture in the hugely impressive display is the handiwork of contemporary artist Nathan Sawaya, the first artist ever to create an exhibition solely of LEGO art. This exhibit is here until 9/2. Leave the driving to SEPTA. Short walk from Suburban Station, hop Bus Routes 7, 33, 38, 48 or Trolley Routes 10, 11, 13, 34 or 36.

Artist and Artisans Market

Cherry Street Pier

On select Fridays and Sundays, Cherry Street Pier along the Delaware River bursts to life for the Artist and Artisans Market. Support local entrepreneurs and creatives by picking up handmade, one-of-a-kind gifts and creations. While you’re there, don’t miss the opening of the pier’s Candid Cosplay photo exhibition, with images reflecting the duality of fantasy and reality by photographer Rebecca de Maul (April 5–28). Get there on SEPTA! Community Meeting

The Kroc Center

Join SEPTA for a community meeting at The Kroc Center on Saturday, 4/20 at 10AM to learn about SEPTA's commitment to transition away from diesel-powered buses to an all-ZEB fleet. Manayunk StrEAT Food Festival

Manayunk

Dozens of food trucks and neighborhood restaurants line Manayunk’s Main Street during this big foodie event on Sunday, 4/21, dishing out everything from BBQ and sweet treats to wine and craft beer. Also on site: local vendors and live performances on two music stages. The festival — one of spring’s biggest — is free to attend with pay-as-you-go food and drink. Hop the Manayunk/Norristown Line to Manayunk Station or Routes 9, 27, 35 or 61.

Penn Relays

Franklin Field

At the nation’s oldest and largest collegiate track meet, high school, college and professional runners compete at the University of Pennsylvania’s historic Franklin Field. The three-day event - beginning 4/25 - features morning, afternoon and evening race sessions. Located just outside the stadium gates, Carnival Village bursts to life with vibrant tents, DJs, parties, fun activities, merch and apparel stalls, food and drink vendors, and the sound of languages from around the world.
