Peak Trips Added on LUCY

September 3, 2020

This post has been revised. Full service is not back on LUCY. We added some peak trips to address social distancing. LUCY Service is closely tied to Regional Rail and because ridership on Regional Rail remains critically low, the new schedule reflects current ridership demand while providing social distancing.

Summer schedules remain in effect for most SEPTA transit routes - but there's GOOD NEWS for LUCY riders in University City - effective Tuesday, September 8, 2020 we've added some peak trips to accommodate ridership and to address social distancing on both the LUCY GOLD and GREEN ROUTES!

SEPTA buses operate on the LUCY’s two lines – Green and Gold. Both lines travel along the same circular route in University City, but in opposite directions. The LUCY shuttle runs every 5 to 30 minutes from 6:10AM to 7:00PM Monday through Friday.

The LUCY is free for students of the University of Pennsylvania and employees of University of Pennsylvania, University of Pennsylvania Health System, University City Science Center, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. All others can ride with a SEPTA Key loaded with Travel Wallet or a TransPass or TrailPass, or $2.50 cash fare.

The LUCY connects with 30th Street Station, where riders can connect Amtrak, NJ Transit, and all SEPTA Regional Rail Lines. The LUCY also makes connections with various SEPTA Bus Routes, Trolley Lines, the Market-Frankford Line.
