Automotive/Bus Mechanic Information Session

The SEPTA Recruitment Department is holding an Automotive/Bus Mechanic Information Session for candidates who are interested in learning more about career opportunities as a SEPTA Bus Mechanic.

The session will take place on Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 4:30 to 6:30PM at our Southern Bus Garage (20th & Johnston Streets).

We have speakers scheduled to address the following areas:

• General information about Bus Mechanic recruitment: work experience/training requirements, background checks and how to apply (Recruiters)

• “A Look into the Life of a Bus Mechanic” (Current SEPTA Mechanics)

• Review of the Bus Mechanic Training Programs (Training Instructors)

• Information on the pre-employment testing for Bus Mechanic 1st, 2nd and 3rd Class (Testing Manager)

• Employee wages and benefits overview (Recruitment Manager)

The rate of pay for these positions ranges from $19.36 to $35.59/hour - depending on experience.
