Welcome back SEPTA rider! I’m back with a new location! This week I ventured out to Bristol, Pennsylvania. Bristol is known as the third oldest town in Pennsylvania. It is famous for its beautiful riverfront views and booming Main Street.

Regional Rail is the best way from Center City to Bristol. I made my way to Jefferson Station, tapped on, and walked to the assigned track for the Trenton Line . The train arrived right on time. I boarded the train car, found my seat, then popped in my headphones to enjoy some tunes during the 45-minute ride.

Once I arrived at Bristol Station, I immediately spotted a beautiful park called the Delaware Canal State Park located directly across the street from the platform. I wanted to check it out and enjoy the scenic views, so I tapped off on the platform validator and walked over to the park.

The park was so serene and peaceful. The canal was slightly frozen over and coated with thin white layers of snow. The area would be a great spot to relax or even capture timeless photos of nature. You could even take photos at the stunningly aged gazebo with friends and family. I took a moment to soak in the tranquility, then went back to scouting the area.

I considered walking to the BRT - but the walk from the station to the theater is 17-minutes, which in warmer weather, I would not mind doing (there are sidewalks). A quick check of my Uber App (yes I sometimes Uber when I can't SEPTA) showed it's 5-minute car ride from the station to the BRT and costs $8 (whoa). It is important to keep in mind prices may vary throughout the day.

Instead - I tapped in on the platform validator and patiently waited for my train back to Center City.

If you use Travel Wallet on your SEPTA Key card, the cost of a one-way trip from Center City to Bristol is $6.50 on weekdays and $5.25 on weekends.

I could easily tell Bristol is a town where anyone could retreat to during any time of year to appreciate stillness, shop on Main Street, and enjoy entertaining performances at the BRT. When the weather breaks, the streets of Bristol can expect to see me again!
